Each participant works on developing a “persona statement” during the 12-week intensive spiritual gym process, then boldly reads it in front of their group at the Commissioning Ceremony. It is a powerful process that results in increased freedom, renewed passion and clarified purpose. The persona statement is the main tool that our spiritual gym trainers use to assess proficiency in the following areas.

  • A vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and hearing his voice in daily affairs.
  • A powerful identity statement that does not mention roles, responsibilities or relationships. Identity is who are you when no one is around? Who are you on an island all by yourself?
  • A journey of hope and healing that overcomes the hurts in life.
  • Awareness of spiritual authority and personal temperament using the “Redemptive Gifts” and “Motivational Gifts” models.
  • Completing a spiritual cleansing process.
  • Proclaiming the call of God for this season of life.

Each person is uniquely designed by God and we celebrate this diversity. It is our aim to have each person honored and assisted so that they walk out that which is highest and best in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We hope you will join us, get equipped, and be one of our growing community of graduates!

The following video is a commissioning ceremony that took place in Sacramento. We’d like to give a big thank you to Victor Jenkins of Crave the Spotlight Media Marketing (www.cravethespotlight.com) for capturing the essence of one of these special ceremonies on video!

About the Dokimos Network /about-the-dokimos-network/ Tue, 16 Aug 2016 16:48:17 +0000 /?p=55

The Dokimos Network partners with churches and businesses to equip and commission workplace ministers. Our first God-sized goal is to see 7000 workplace ministers commissioned in the Sacramento Region. Our second God-sized goal is to see 1000 workplace elders equipped and commissioned. These elders are people who workplace ministers can go to for prayer, mentoring, guidance and assistance in reconciling relationships.

The Dokimos Network is a low-overhead non-profit organization, but we deliver a high-quality training experience. In order to do this, we have created a "Pay It Forward" donation program. That is, we have volunteer leadership and no building costs. We partner with churches and businesses to provide a growing team of spiritual gym leaders who lead spiritual gyms those businesses and churches. These gym leaders are paid a small honorarium for each person who graduates. Donations are encouraged to fund this "Pay It Forward" program.

The vision is to see societal transformation in Greater Sacramento through churches and businesses supporting workplace ministers by:

  • Equipping
  • Commissioning
  • Praying
  • Celebrating

Options for Commissioning

  1. 12-week Spiritual Gym (one night a week.)
  2. Self-paced Spiritual Gym with your team
  3. Take the Proficiency Challenge

After commissioning, we encourage ongoing equipping and have a resources sequenced for proficiency in living a life of transformation.

The network provides the following programs:

  • The Dokimos Project
    • Twelve session intensive training in identity, redemptive gifts, hope, healing, and divine assignments. Those who complete the course are commissioned in their God-given identity and calling as marketplace ministers.
  • Inner Healing Network
    • Listing of recommended inner healing ministries to assist people through the Dokimos Project.
  • Alumni connections, community and collaboration.

What is Workplace Ministry? /what-is-workplace-ministry/ Tue, 16 Aug 2016 16:44:19 +0000 /?p=53 Workplace Ministry is really about being Jesus’ face, feet and hands in the Marketplace. Ed Silvoso says there are four types of Christians in the workplace.

Four Types of Christians

  • A Christian who is simply trying to survive.
  • A Christian who is living by Christian principles.
  • A Christian who is living by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • A Christian who is transforming their workplace (or sphere of influence) for Christ.

What is a Workplace Minister?

  • Marketplace Ministers bring hope to hopeless situations, wisdom in times of crisis, peace where there is conflict, innovation where there is stagnation, and love where there is indifference.
  • They believe that prosperity is with a Kingdom purpose and not for their own self-gain.
  • They love the Lord with their heart, soul, strength and mind (Luke 10:27 & Matt 22:37).
  • They pray, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven” (Matt 6:10).
  • They are led by the Holy Spirit and called to influence society with Biblical principles and the Holy Spirit.

They Have Been Personally Transformed and Equipped to Bring Transformation to Their Family, Work and Beyond.

Workplace Ministers Have Unshakable Integrity

Integrity (dokimos) is doing what Jesus would do, and saying what Jesus would say even under threat:

  • Loss of money
  • Loss of time
  • Loss of resources
  • Loss of credibility
  • Loss of relationship

Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. (Isaiah 40:31)

Marketplace Ministers Are…

  • Filled to overflowing with:
    • Faith that takes risks
    • Hope that is blind to circumstances
    • Love that sacrifices when God calls
  • From a foundation of:
    • Intimacy with God provides…
    • Unshakable integrity and…
    • Spirit of Rest (Not Striving or Perfection)

Workplace Ministers speak LIFE to co-workers, family and friends.

Work is Worship /work-is-worship/ Tue, 16 Aug 2016 16:42:10 +0000 /?p=51 The work you do can be viewed as hard labor, or just needed to pay the bills. But, there is a better view… Work is worship!

  • Labor is the most common reference to worship in the Bible.
    • For example, a professional said, “Every report I create, email I send, phone call I make is worship to God. I used to try and make everybody happy, but this way of thinking is so much better. The funny thing is that I get more complements now!”
  • Holy Spirit given to a craftsman
    • “Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.’ ” Exodus 31:1-5
  • Management is ministry
    • If you manage a team of people, your main job is to be their pastor!
  • Kingdom business leaders are looking to make a positive impact in four areas (bottom lines):
    • Economic – to do well financially and help others do well financially
    • Social – to help society and their employees live in harmony and sacrificial love
    • Spiritual – to create a positive spiritual environment and help people live life with inner freedom
    • Environmental – to help preserve and protect God’s Creation; the Earth.
  • Eliminating systemic poverty
    • Poverty is really the result of leaders acting selfishly.
    • By making a positive impact in the four areas listed above, poverty is systemically eliminated.

“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over…’” (Gen 1:28)
